- Mitharam Hostel is a protected building under the Sindh Culture Heritage (Preservation) Act, 1994. It is a unique stone structure building, having wonderful wood roof flooring.
- As the building was in its advance stage of decay and dangerous for human life, the Antiquities planed for its conservation and further conversion into a Digital Museum with an approved cost of Rs.89.570 m. As on 30-06-2013, an expenditure of 34.531 has been incurred on its rehabilitation.
Before Conservation


- The objectives of establishing this museum are;
- Presentation of Sindh Heritage through virtual technology which would be more logical and interesting for researchers and common people.
- The information provided through virtual display, E-Library ,Documentations, Display of rehabilitation of historical sites, Folk Lores and Music would be long lasting and impact oriented for students and researcher of History and Archeology and general public as well.
During Conservation Work


- However presently the restoration work is stopped due to occupancy of Pakistan Rangers and if Rangers occupancy is not vacated the expended public money of Rs.34.531 would be wasted.
- Secretary Home may be directed for immediate vacation of premises for completion of remaining work.
- Some computer companies having expertise in the Subject may be involved to help in Establishing this Museum, after the completion of it’s restoration work.
